A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AS SURPLUS
WHEREAS, The City of Azusa owns a 9+ acre parcel of land located along Highway 39
north of Sierra Madre Ave.; and
WHEREAS, This parcel is known as Parcel 10 Azusa Power Plant Property San Gabriel
Canyon, in Los Angeles County; and
WHEREAS, The City of Azusa had intended to develop the subject property as a park;
and
WHEREAS, The City of Azusa has now determined such a project would be impractical
and excessively expensive; and
WHEREAS, That six open culverts which transport water to various entities must be
protected; and
WHEREAS, An engineering report to encasc these culverts indicate it would cost
almost a half million dollars to accomplish; and
WHEREAS, The City of Azusa at this time is not able to financially handle such a
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Azusa
does declare that Parcel 10, Lot 4 in Sec. 22; Township 1 North, Range 10
S.B.B. and •M, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California as
surplus and offers it for sale pursuant to the surplus land provisions of
Article 8, Division 2, Title 5 of the California Government Code,
commencing with Section 54220 and authorizes notification of its
availability to all interested public agencies.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the forgoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of
the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof,, held on the 4th day of Sept. 1990,
by the following vote of the Council:
