San Gabriel Avenues. No action taken.
The City Clerk announced that she had received
two bids in answer to Notice Calling for Sealed
Bids on sale of scrap copper and old equipment.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Owens that the bids be now
examined and publicly declared.

URE OF ONE-FOURTH CENT GAS TAX ON STREETS OF
MAJOR IMPORTANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING
JUNE 301, 1939 WITHIN THE CITY OF AZUSA.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Carr that this Resolution be adopted
as read and numbered Resolution No. 1572.

ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING RATES TO BE
CHARGED FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY
OF AZUSA, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 307 AND
ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH."

' City Attorney Tscharner reported on the Azusa
Agricultural Water Company stock, owned by
the City of Azusa and the Contract entered
into between the 6ity of Azusa and the Azusa
Agricultural Water Company in the year 1900.
Mr. Tscharner stated that the contract was
binding and that the City of Azusa is obligated
to pay the assessment, billed by the Azusa
Agricultural Water Company.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Coin 11man Carr that the Mayor and City Clerk
be authorized and instructed to sign a check
in the amount of $120.40 made to the Azusa
Agricultural Water Company, representing
assessments on Water Stock.
