HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 91-C105RESOLUTION NO. 91-0105 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING A NEW CLASSIFICATION OF UTILITY CONSERVATION OFFICER AND ESTABLISHING A SALARY THEREFOR. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The class specifications of Utility Conservation Officer are hereby adopted in its entirety in accordance with Exhibit A-1 attached and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2. The classification of Utility Conservation Officer is established at Range 5210, $3,084 - $3,748 per month. ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 5th day of August, 1991. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof on the -"5th day of August, 1991, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: STEMRICH, NARANJO, ALXANDER, MOSES NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE . DANGLEIS CJ CITY OF AZUSA U UTILITY CONSERVATION OFFICER DEFINITION Under direction, to develop energy and water conservation and management programs, perform audits for residential, commercial and public buildings and implement conservation measures and practices. SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED Receives general supervision from Director of Utilities and provides general technical and functional supervision over other utility personnel. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES' May include, but are not -limited -to the'following: Develop and implement energy and water conservation and management programs. Perform energy and water audit programs for residential, commercial, industrial and public customers. Develop and disseminate customer information promoting wise and efficient use of electricity and water. Implement energy and water conservation programs set forth in the Light and Water Department Rules and Regulations, and City ordinances. Present conservation educational programs to schools, media, civic organizations and associations upon request. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: Principles and practices of conservation and efficient use of energy and water. Basic personal computer applications, such as word processor and spread sheet. Applicable regulatory codes and laws relating to energy and water management. Customer motivation and marketing. Ability to: Prepare oral and written reports logically and concisely. Communicate with public effectively. Gather and analyze data and incorporate them into technical reports. Use PC to create data file, analyze data, generate reports 1
