A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA REVISING THE CLASS SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
CLASSIFICATIONS OF: BUILDING MAINTENANCE
WORKER I/II, BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER III,
BUILDING MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, EQUIPMENT
MECHANIC, EQUIPMENT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, PARK
MAINTENANCE WORKER I/II, PARR MAINTENANCE
WORKER III, PARK MAINTENANCE CREW SUPERVISOR,
PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, STREET MAINTENANCE
WORKER I/II, STREET MAINTENANCE WORKER III,
STREET MAINTENANCE CREW SUPERVISOR, STREET
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, TREE TRIMMER AND SENIOR
TREE TRIMMER.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The classificiation specifications of Building
Maintenance Worker I/II, Building Maintenance Worker III,
Building Maintenance Supervisor, Equipment Mechanic, Equipment
Mechanic Supervisor, Park Maintenance Worker I/II, Park
Maintenance Worker III, Park Maintenance Crew Supervisor, Park
Maintenance Supervisor, Street Maintenance Worker I/II, Street
Maintenance Worker III, Street Maintenance Crew Supervisor,
Street Maintenance Supervisor, Tree Trimmer and Senior Tree
Trimmer are hereby amended in its entirety in accordance with
Exhibit A attached and incorporated herein by reference.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 4th day of November, 1991.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular
meeting thereof on the 4th day of November, 1991, by the
following vote of the Council:

Experience and Education
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that
could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is
qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and
abilities would be two (2) years of experience performing
duties comparable to a Building Maintenance Worker I.
License or Certificate
Possession of a valid California Class "B" Driver's License,
with Tank Combination Endorsement, or ability to obtain
during probationary period.

QMerience and Education
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that
could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities
would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge
and abilities would be three years of experience in
supervising skilled, journey level building maintenance work
including repair, alteration, and limited design and
construction involving carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
trades.
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid California Class "B" Driver's License,
with Tank Combination Endorsement, or ability to obtain
during probationary period.

Five years of journey level experience in the gasoline and
diesel equipment, including some lead supervisory experience.
Education
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented
by specialized equipment repair courses.
License and Certificates
Possession of a valid California class "B" Driver's License,
with Tank Combination Endorsement, or ability to obtain
during probationary period.

Worker II.
Education:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade,
supplemented by specialized training in horticulture,
landscape architecture, or related subjects.
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid California class "B" Driver's
License, with a Tank Combination Endorsement, or ability to
obtain during probationary period.
Possession of a California Pesticide Applicator Certificate
may be required.

Ability to:
Perform specialized horticultural tasks in the maintenance
and care of plants, shrubs, turf, and trees.
Experience and Education
Any combination of experience and education that would
likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is
qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and
abilities would be:
Experience: Two years of significant experience similar
to the duties assigned to a Park Maintenance Worker
III.
Education: Equivalent to completion of specialized
park maintenance and training.
License
Possession of a valid California Class

in a supervisory capacity could substitute for the education
requirement.

supplemented with specialized courses in supervision and
construction -related subjects.
License and Certificate
Possession of a California Class "B" Driver's License, with
a Tank Combination Endorsement, or ability to obtain during
probationary period.

Experience and Education
Any combination of experience and education that would
likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is
qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and
abilities would be:
Experience:
One year of work experience involving tree maintenance
work including some tree trimming and climbing
experience.
Education:
Equivalent to the completion of the eighth grade
supplemented by specialized training in tree care and
tree climbing work.
License
Possession of a valid California Class "B" Driver's License,
with a Tank Combination Endorsement, or ability to obtain
during probationary period.

Any combination of experience and education that would
likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is
qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and
abilities would be:

maintenance work.
Education;
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade
supplemented by specialized training in tree
maintenance.
License and Certificate
Possession of a valid California Class "B" Driver's License,
with a Tank Combination Endorsement, or ability to obtain
during probationary period.
Certified tree trimmer from the International Society of
Arboriculture.
