HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 91-C1610 0 RESOLUTION NO. 91-C161 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REVISING THE CLASS SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CLASSIFICATIONS OF: WELDER, WATER UTILITY WORKER I/II WATER UTILITY OPERATOR I/II, WATER UTILITY CREW SUPERVISOR, WATER UTILITY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR, WATER UTILITY OPERATOR SUPERVISOR AND WATER UTILITY SUPERVISOR. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The classificiation specifications of Welder, Water Utility Worker I/II, Water Utility Operator I/II, Water Utility Crew Supervisor, Water Utility Equipment Operator, Water Utility Operator Supervisor and Water Utility Supervisor are hereby amended in its entirety in accordance with Exhibit A attached and incorporated herein by reference. ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 4th day of November, 1991. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof on the 4th day of November, 1991, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: DANGLEIS, STEMRICH, NARANJO, ALEXANDER, MOSES NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE ABSENT: CITY OF AZUSA, Welder (Cont'd) Experience and Education Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience; Two years of work experience with construction and maintenance of water distribution systems. Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by specialized training in construction and maintenance methods and practices. License and Certificates Possession of a valid California Class "B" unrestricted Driver's License, with Hazardous Waste and Air Brakes Endorsements, or ability to obtain during probationary period. Possession of a California State Department of Health Water Treatment Grade II Certificate. Possession of a California State Department of Health Certificate to test backflow prevention devices. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Water Utility Operator I Experience: Six months' experience in operation or distribution of water system. Education: Equivalent to twelfth grade education. Water Utility Operator II Experience: One year experience as an operator of pumps and wells, controls and maintenance of reservoirs. Education: Equivalent to the twelfth grade education. License and Certificates Water Utility Operator I Possession of a valid California Class "B" unrestricted Driver's License, with Hazardous Waste and Air Brakes Endorsements, or ability to obtain during probationary period. Must obtain a California state Department of Health Grade II Certificate within one year. Water Utility Operator II Possession of a valid California Class "B" unrestricted Driver's License, with Hazardous Waste and Air Brakes Endorsements, or ability to obtain during probationary period. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Three years of work experience with construction and maintenance of water distribution systems. Education Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by specialized training in construction and maintenance methods and practices. License Possession of a valid California Class "B" unrestricted Driver's License, with Hazardous Waste and Air Brakes Endorsements, or ability to obtain during probationary period. Possession of a California State Department of Health Water Treatment Grade II Certificate. Possession of a valid California Class "B" unrestricted Drivers License, with Hazardous Waste and Air Brakes Endorsement, or ability to obtain during probationary period. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five years of significant journey -level work experience in the operation and maintenance of water production equipment including experience in a supervisory capacity. Education: Equivalent to twelfth grade training courses in water treatment and'hydraulics. License education, supplemented by such as distribution, water Possession of a valid California Class "B" unrestricted Driver's License, with Hazardous Waste and Air Brakes Endorsements, or ability to obtain during probationary period. Possession of a California State Department of Health Water Treatment Grade III license preferred. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five years of significant, journey level work experience in the construction and maintenance of water distribution systems, including substantial experience in a supervisory capacity. Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by specialized training in construction and maintenance methods and practices. License Possession of a valid California Class "B" unrestricted Driver's License, with Hazardous Waste and Air Brakes Endorsements, or ability to obtain during probationary period.
