Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Roll call._ Dickerson, Strohmeier, Carr, Arnold, City Attorneys and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meeting of Minutes approved. July 18, 1938 were read and approved as read. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Dickerson, Strohmeier, Carr, Arnold. Noes: None. Absent: None. Mrs, P. M. Russell, who submitted a bid in mfrs. Russell's bid answer to the"Notice Calling for Bids on returned. the Collection of Garbage", was present. Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by Chlorine for swim - Councilman Dickerson that the City purchase ming pool to be chlorine for the swimming pool from the purchased from Foothill Drug Company whereby the City saves Foothill Drug Co. 15� per gallon. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR TWO OR MORE ORDINANCE read PERSONS TO OBSTRUCT THE SIDEWALKS OR THE for first time. STREETS; REGULATING PUBLIC MEETINGS IN PUBLIC STREETS ARID PARKS AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. to be placed upon its first reading. This Ordinance was then read for the first time. Virgil Smith addressed the Council stating Matter of infraction that he had received a communication from referred to Virgil the Pacific Electric Railway Company relative Smith, to clearing up existing infractions of G.O. 64-A. Moved by Councilman Dickerson, seconded by Councilman Strohmeier that Mr. Smith be authorized to make the required changes and bill the Pacific Electric Railway Company for their portion of the expense. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Dickerson, Strohmeier, Carr, Arnold. Noes: None. Absent: None. City Attorney Miller reported on a meeting he City Attorney attended in El Monte, conducted by the Rail- Miller reported on road Commission, for the re -organization of meeting of Railroad the Pacific Electric Railway Company. The Commission. Railroad Commission granted the Pacific Electric the right to temporarily increase fares until Mr. Robinson addressed the Council relative Auditor addressed to the final Audit of City funds, the Council.
