CITY HALL,AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. MONDAY, AUGUST 81 1938. 9:30 A.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
Special Session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens,
Dickerson, Strohmeier, Arnold, City Attorney
Miller and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman Carr and City Attorney
Tscharner.
The Notice of Special Meeting was read as
follows:
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Azusa, State of California, IS HEREBY
CALLED to be held in the Council Chambers of said City at the
hour of 9:30 A. M, on Monday the 8th day of August, 1938, for
the purpose of taking action deemed necessary relative to
Resolution No. 1579 and any other business that may rightfully
come before the Council.

A communication from Ernest S. Grayson
relative to the Community Garden Project, was
read.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Owens that the following letter
be approved and the City Clerk authorized to
sign and mail same to Idr. Ernest Grayson.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Dickerson,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Carr.

Dear Mr. Grayson:
August 9, 1938.
Pertinent to the suggestion in your letter of
August 5, 1938, I wish to report that the City Council of the
City of Azusa has approved and authorized the Mayor to execute
the License Agreement enclosed -in your letter. I am herewith
returning to you triplicate copies of the License Agreement
and after same are executed by you, kindly return one of the
copies for my files.
As to the use of water by you on the premises
covered by the License Agreement and for the period of time
therein designated, the City Council has authorized me, as City
Clerk, to advise you that the City, for such period of time and
for use on said premises will furnish to you free of charge
irrigation water not to exceed 100 miners inches per day, as the
City receives such water from the Azusa Agricultural Water
Company, it being understood that the City will deliver the
water toyyou at the point or points where said water is received
from the `dater Company, you to run your own lines or ditches to the
points where you wish to use such water.
The City Council conferred with the Water Company
and the Water Company assured them that they will make every
effort to make delivery of the water at the point on itis lines
which is most convenient for you.

MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING. AUGUST 8, 1938. 9:30 A. M.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Owens that the Mayor and City Clerk
be authorized and instructed to sign License
Agreement between the City of Azusa and the
State Relief Administration.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Dickerson,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Carr.
It was unanimously agreed that the City
' respectfully request the removal of all
buildings now located on City property con-
templated for use as a City Park.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by
Councilman Dickerson and duly carried that
the Council adjourn.
