The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens,
Dickerson, Strohmeier, Carr, Arnold, City
Attorneys and City Clerk.
The minutes of the last regular meeting of
August 1st and the Special Session of August

Councilman Dickerson not voting.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by

The City Clerk announced that she had received
one bid in answer to "Notice Calling for Bids
on the Collection of Garbage."
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Owens that the Bid be now opened,
examined and publicly declared.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:

Strohmeier, Carr, Arnold.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Bid on removal of
Garbage.
I hereby agree to collect garbage for City of Azusa August
2, 1938 to June 30, 1939 for $25.00 per month. The days
of collection to be Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Earl P. Staves, was read.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Dickerson that same be denied.

Councilman Strohmeier offered an Ordinance
entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA 14AKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR TWO OR MORE
PERSONS TO OBSTRUCT THE SIDEWALKS OR THE
STREETS; REGULATING PUBLIC MEETINGS IN PUBLIC
STREETS AND PARKS AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.

Councilman Owens that the City Clerk be
authorized and instructed to draw warrants on
the General Fund in the amount of $100, each
for members of the City Council, City Attorneys
and City Clerk to defray expenses incurred in
attending the League of California Municipali-
ties Convention to be held at Santa Barbara
on September 6, 7, 8 and 9.
