RESOLUTION NO. 93-C29
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION AND PAYMENT OF COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUND.
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated
certain monies to the City of Azusa as County Aid to Cities; and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has
adopted policies limiting the use of said monies to regional
traffic signal synchronization project, transportation system
management (TSM), and congestion management (CM) projects that
improve regional traffic mobility; or the design, acquisition of
right of way, and construction of city streets on the County's
highway plan which are of general County interest and regional
significance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expend the amount of
$52,754.00 of said funds accrued to the city for projects in
accordance with said policies; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa
resolves that:
Section 1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested
to allocate $52,754.00 of the Aid to Cities Funds apportioned to
the city for projects listed on Attachment 1 which will improve
regional traffic mobility in accordance with the Los Angeles County
Board of Supervisors policy regarding the use of said Aid to Cities
Funds.
Section 2. After the allocations is approved by the
Board of Supervisors and funds are available, the County is
requested to send such allocated amount to the city when claimed.
The city will begin using the funds for said projects listed on
Attachment 1 according to the terms of the allocation.
Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to the Los Angeles County
Director of Public Works for processing.
Section 4. The Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the
City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption
thereof.
1993. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 5th day of April,
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular
meeting thereof, held on the 5th day of April, 1993, by the
following vote of the Council:

ATTACHMENT NO. 1
The allocated ATC funds will be utilized in the upgrade of Foothill
Boulevard Pavement from Todd Avenue to Orange Avenue.
The upgrade will be installed prior to the County signal
synchronization project on Foothill Boulevard. it will create a
smoother driving surface for the motorists as well as providing a
stable foundation for the new signal detectors.
The total project cost will be $156,000.00; City funds will match
the ATC monies to effect this project.
