RESOLUTION NO. 93-C15

AZUSA CALLING ON NEIGHBORING CITIES TO COME
TOGETHER IN ORDER TO PUT AN END TO HATE CRIMES
WHEREAS, it is easy to hate, to seek relief from a
paranoid fear of one's neighbors by inflicting violence against
them because thy do not look or act like the perpetrator, and
WHEREAS, what results, ultimately, from this is that
those who seek a solution to society's problems in this manner,
will find that they are continually narrowing their field of
potential targets until finding themselves to be the real enemy of
a twisted and perverted ego, and
WHEREAS, hate crimes, the vestigial remnants from the
dark underside of Mankind's bestial past, an ever spreading cancer
through society's innermost core, threaten to unravel the fabric
that holds us together, and bring to question whether Mankind is,
indeed, the lifeform closest to the Almighty is bound to end its
stay on Earth as merely one more of Nature's experiments doomed to
commit some sort of collective suicide, unique in only one respect,
that of thoroughly documenting its existence and quite possibly,
its own demise.

the City of Azusa, recognizing the insidious threat to our national
