HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 94-C54RESOLUTION NO. 94-c 54 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. C-91-1 WHEREAS, an application was received from Ralph Covell for a conditional use permit to operate a commercial recreational use (paintball games) in a CF zone on property located at 2027 North San Gabriel Cannon Road (Conditional Use permit No. C-93-14), and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered this request in a duly noticed public hearing on February 16, 1994, and has carefully considered all pertinent evidence and testimony, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 94-19 recommending to the City Council that this conditional use permit be approved, and WHEREAS, the City Council has held a duly noticed public hearing on March 7, 1994, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa carefully considered all the pertinent evidence and testimony regarding Conditional Use Permit No. C-93-14, NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council for the City of Azusa finds that the commercial recreational uses, such as a paintball game operation, are specifically called out as conditionally permitted uses within the current and requested CF zoning and are consistent with this general plan designation. SECTION 2. The City Council for the City of Azusa finds that the location of the paintball operations away from neighboring residents and the San Gabriel River, along with the other mitigation measures imposed by attached conditions of approval, should minimize the effect of noise, parking or other impacts on surrounding property. By containing any potentially harmful impacts on the site itself, the proposed use would not adversely affect, be materially detrimental to nor create a danger or menace to neighboring property or residents. SECTION 3. The City Council for the City of Azusa finds that the site contains almost 75 acres of area for both the horse ranch and the paintball games. Adequate area is provided for both extensive vehicle parking and for both of these activities to operate simultaneously. The site is adequately served by the existing bridge and San Gabriel Canyon Road. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
