The,City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Malone,
Arnold and City Clerk.,
Absent: Councilmen: Jumper, Owens, Strohmeier,
and City Attorney.
Moved by Mayor Arnold, seconded by Councilman
Malone and duly carried that due to lack of a
quorum the Council adjourn to meet again on
' Tuesday, February 21, 1939 at 7:30 P. M.
CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. FEBRUARY 21, 1939.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular adjourned session at the above time
and place.
Present at'roll call: Councilmen: Jumper,
Malone, Uwens, Strohmeier, Arnold, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
The minutes of the last regular meeting of
February 6 and the adjourned session of
February 13, 1939 were written and mailed to
the members of the Azusa City Council and City
Attorney.
Moved and carried that the above mentioned
minutes be approved as written.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
' Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Owens,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Letters signed by J. L. Pomeroy, M. D.,
Mrs. George Fuhr, and Herbert C. Legg were
read and ordered placed on file.
A communication signed by John R. Colton,
Engineer for the Board of Fire Underwriters
was read.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Jumper that the City Clerk be
instructed to request the State Compensation
Insurance Fund to inform the City Council
relative to the Insurance Coverage of Firemen
responding toafire alarm outside of the City
Limits.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen; Jumper, Malone, Owens,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Jumper that the matter of planting
trees for Mr. Bethel and Mrs. Riffel be re-
ferred to the Chairman of City Beautification
Committee and the Chairman of the Purchasing
Committee, with power to act.

man Jumper and duly carried that
same be
granted.
Mr. J.. A. Bethel requested trees
be
planted in
the parkway in front of his home
to
replace
the Camphor trees blown over by
the
recent
storm.
Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Jumper that the matter of planting
trees for Mr. Bethel and Mrs. Riffel be re-
ferred to the Chairman of City Beautification
Committee and the Chairman of the Purchasing
Committee, with power to act.
