HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 95-C17C L A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING THE AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO IMPLEMENT THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK FOR THE CALIFORNIA OIL RECYCLING BLOCK GRANT RESOLUTION NO. 95—C17 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act that provides funds to cities and counties for establishing and maintaining local used oil collection programs that encourage recycling or appropriate disposal of used oil; and WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Board has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing application by cities and counties under the program; and WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of California for development of the project; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Azusa City Council authorizes the submittal of an application to the California Integrated Waste Management Board for a 1994/95 Used Oil Recycling Block Grant. The City Administrator, or their designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Azusa all necessary applications, contracts, payment requests, agreements and amendments hereto for the purposes of securing grant funds and to implement and carry out the purposes specified in the grant application. Attest: The City clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of February 1995. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City Azusa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of February 1994 by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: HARDISON, MADRID, NARANJO,BEEBE,ALEXANDER NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE Page 2 RESOLUTION NO. 11 C-15 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ADOPTING THE PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1994-95 WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is participating under the County of Los Angeles Community Development Block Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the City staff has proposed to delete one project and program the Community Development Block Grant funds into contingency; and WHEREAS, the proposed deletion represents a substantial change to the original project allocations; and WHEREAS, the City has allowed written comment and public testimony on the City's community development needs; and WHEREAS, the City Council has heard any and all public input received regarding the City's proposed change to the projected use of Community Development Block Grant funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby take the following actions: Section 1. Approve the deletion of the Handicapped Access Grant Project Number D94035 totalling $30,000; and Section 2. Approve placing the $30,000 Community Development Block Grant funds into Contingency for future year (1995-96) programming; and Section 3. Authorize staff to submit the approved changes to the Community Development Commission. Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution.
