Councilman Jumper reported that he and Mr. F.M.
Robinson, City Auditor, compared City Ordinance
Councilman
No. 328 and the latest Rate Schedule of the
Jumper reported
Southern California Edison Company, dated
on Energy rates.
January 1, 1939 and found they are identical
with the exception of one Bracket where a con-
sumer owns both range and water heater the rate
of 1 cent for the Southern California Edison
Company, to the City of Azusa's rate of 12
cents. If this rate weremade to agree with that
of the Edison Company it would mean a loss of
$10.00 per year to the City of Azusa. If the
suggested change in rate from 5.3 cents to 5
cents were made for General Consumers there
would be an estimated annual loss to the City
of Azusa of $1800 and a saving to the individual
consumers of from 10 to 15 cents per month.
Councilman Jumper stated that he could see no
reason for making this change and would not
recommend it at this time.
