A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A USER FEE SCHEDULE
FOR VARIOUS MUNICIPAL ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is empowered to impose reasonable service fees for a
variety municipal benefits ad services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa has determined that the users of these
services should be charged fees to cover the City's expenses for providing these services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary to adopt a Schedule of
fees and Charges which sets forth changes for these services; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council that the fees set forth herein shall
cover, but not exceed, the estimated reasonable cost of providing the service for which the fee
is charged, except for such fees that may legally generate revenue; and
WHEREAS, based upon evidence provided, the City Council hereby determines that the
fees cover, but do not exceed, the reasonable cost of providing the services for which the fee
is charged; and
WHEREAS, the Schedule of Fees and charges is statutorily and categorically exempt
from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act since citing these fees fits
within the statutory exemptions for local agency decisions involving the adoption and
collection of rates, tolls and other charges, pursuant to Public Resources Code Section
21080(b)(8) and Section 15273 of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFONIA, DOES FIND
AND DECLARE THAT:
SECTION 1: Adoption of Schedule of Fees. The City Council hereby adopts a fee
schedule for the services set forth in the Schedule of Fees and Charges for Fiscal Year
2003/2004 attached hereto as Exhibits 1-13, and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2: Collection of Fees. That the City is authorized to collect the user fees set
forth herein.
This resolution shall become effective upon its adoption.
