Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Owens, Strohmeier, Arnold and City Clerk. Absent: City Attorney. The Notice of Special Meeting and Officer's report were read as follows: 1 L 7:30 P. M. 203 that a special meeting of the City Council of of California, IS HEREBY CALLED to be held of said City at the hour of 7:30 P. I hereby certify that I received the attached "NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA" at 3:45 P. M. on the 14th day of June, 1939, and that I served the same on the here- inafter named persons, who are members of the City Council of the City of Azusa, at the time set after their respective names, by personally delivering to and leaving with said persons a true copy of the attached "NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA". Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by Councilman Malone that the City Clerk be in- structed and authorized to advertise for Bids on a Tandem Roller, the type, weight, horse- power and general description to be supplied by the City Engineer, the Notice to be pub- lished in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic on June 15 and 22, 1939. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen; Jumper, Malone, Owens, Strohmeier, Arnold. Noes: None. Absent: None. Superintendent of Water Department Wm. Zerell and Councilman Malone reported that Ernest Hart had offered his verbal resignation as an employee of the Water Department. Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by Councilman Owens the Council accept Ernest Hart's resignation, effective as of June 15,1939. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Uwens, Strohmeier, Arnold. Noes: None. Absent: None.
