HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 04-C870 0 RESOLUTION NO. 04- n4-cg7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, CASTING ITS VOTE FOR COUNCILMEMBER TO REPRESENT CITIES WITH PRESCRIPTIVE PUMPING RIGHTS ON THE BOARD OF THE SAN GABRIEL BASIN WATER QUALITY AUTHORITY WHEREAS, on September 22, 1992, Senate Bill 1679 was signed into law by Governor Pete Wilson authorizing the creation of the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority; and WHEREAS, the Board of the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority is composed of seven members with three appointed members from each of the three municipal water districts, one elected city council person from cities in the San Gabriel Basin with prescriptive pumping rights, one elected city council person from cities in the San Gabriel Basin without prescriptive pumping rights, and two appointed members representing water producers in the San Gabriel Basin; and WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is one of the cities in San Gabriel Basin with prescriptive pumping rights; WHEREAS, the City of Azusa may cast its vote(s) for a representative by resolution no later than December 17, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa casts its full vote(s) for Councilmember Mr. Greg Nordbak, as the representative for cities in the San Gabriel Ba ' i rescriptive pumping rights.
