Councilman Strohmeier reported he had inter-
viewed the Engineer for Standard Oil Company,
who said the estimates on 2" line necessary
to service the proposed service station were
being forwarded to San Francisco for official
approval.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by
Councilman Owens the matter of repairing and
painting Oak doors in the City Hall Building
be referred to the Board of Public Works,
' with power to act.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Owens,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Malone.
Mr. Maag of the Los Angeles County Building
Department appeared before the Council to out-
line the requirements necessary before the
County Building Department could take over the
Building Inspections for the City of Azusa.
Councilman Jumper offered an Ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA,
REGULATING SANITARY PLUMBING AND HOUSE DRAINAGE
IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND PRESCRIBING THE
CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH PLUMBING MAY BE CARRIED
ON THEREIN; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT THEREWITH.
to be placed upon its first reading.
The title of this Ordinance was then read.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by
Councilman Owens that further reading of the
Ordinance be waived.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Owens,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Malone.
Councilman Strohmeier offered an Ordinance
entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA,
ADOPTING A BUILDING CODE TO REGULATE THE CON-
STRUCTION, ERECTION, ENLARGEMENT, RAZING,
ALTERATION, REPAIRING, REMOVAL, MAINTENANCE,
MOVING, USE AND HEIGHT OF BUILDINGS OR
STRUCTURES IN THE SAID CITY OF AZUSA, AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
to be placed upon its first reading.
The title of this "rdinance was then read.

Councilman Jumper that further reading of the

OPERATION OF ELECTRIC WIRING, CONNECTIONS,
FIXTURES AND OTHER ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES IN
BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES WITHIN THE CITY
OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCESIN CONFLICT THEREWITH.

' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, CONSENT-
ING THAT THE CITY TREASURER, DURING THE PERIOD
OF CONFLICT BETWEEN FEDERAL AND STATE LAW, MAY
DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF ACTIVE AND INACTIVE
DEPOSITS OF CITY FUNDS AND THAT THE TREASURER
CONTRACT WITH DEPOSITARIES FOR DEPOSIT OF SAME.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Coun-
cilman Strohmeier this Resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No, 1627.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Owens,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Malone.

Councilman Jumper and duly carried the follow-
