HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 96-C310 0 RESOLUTION NO. 96-C31 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, REVOKING BUSINESS LICENSE NO. 16304, TACOS MEJIA THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby find, determine and declare that: A. On February 20, 1996, a duly noticed hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Azusa pursuant to Section 18-21 of the Azusa Municipal Code, to determine whether or not grounds exist to revoke Business License No. 16304 issued to Gustavo Mejia DBA Tacos Mejia, 4593 Kenmore Avenue, Baldwin Park, California, 91706. Evidence was received from the City through its Finance Director, Geoffrey Craig and its Business License Field Enforcement Officer, Andrew Cawte. No persons testified on behalf of Tacos Mejia. The staff report and Business License application of Tacos Mejia were received into evidence. B. Notice of said hearing was made by certified mail pursuant to Section 18-21 (b) of the Azusa Municipal Code. SECTION 2. Having considered all of the oral and written evidence presented to it at the hearing on February 20, 1996, the City Council specifically finds that: A. That even after being advised of previous violation, Tacos Mejia did knowingly and willfully violate Section 74-440 of the Azusa Municipal Code. B. That such violations of Section 74-440 fall within the scope of Section 18-21 (a-2) and constitute grounds for business license revocation. SECTION 3. Based upon the findings set forth in Sections 1 and 2 of this resolution, the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby revoke Business License No. 16304 issued to Gustavo Mejia DBA Tacos Mejia. SECTION 4. The City Clerk will send a certified copy of this Resolution to Gustavo Mejia DBA Tacos Mejia. Such mailing shall constitute notice to each party in accordance with Code of Civil Procedure Section 1094.6 and Azusa Municipal Code 18-21 and that action to review this decision of the City Council shall be commenced not later that the ninetieth (90th) day following the adoption of this Resolution. Resolution. 0 SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of March, 1996. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 4th day of March, 1996, by the following vote of the Council: AYES NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: HARDISON, NARANJO,,-BEEBE, ALEXANDER COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS MADRID NONE
