The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper,
Malone, Owens, Strohmeier, Arnold, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
The minutes of the last regular meeting of
October 2, 1939 were ~mitten and mailed to
each member of the City Council and to the
City Attorney.
The Mayor announced there being no errors or
omissions the minutes would stand approved as
read.
A communication signed by J. C. Muehe relative
to the refund on Public Liability Insurance for
Light and Water Departments, was read and
ordered placed on file.
The Clerk announced that she had received trio
bids to furnish the City with incandescent
lamps for one year.
Moved and carried the bids be read.

' Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Malone that the bid be awarded to
S. A. Peet, representative for Cook -Nichols Co.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Owens,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Moved and carried that the following business
men be awarded the City business for the month
of November:

First Aid, Etc. - Foothill Drug Store
Garage - Chevrolet Garage
Grease Jobs - Standard Station
Hardware - Morgan Hardware
Lumber - Williams Lumber Yard
Paint - Morgan Hardware

Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by
Councilman Jumper that Resolution No. 1519
' appointing Fred Frye as Building Inspector and
fixing his salary, be rescinded, effective as
of November 1, 1939:
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Owens,
Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Owens the following requisitions be allowed:
584 to 594.
