HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 96-C1960 RESOLUTION NO. 96-C196 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING TO ADOPT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT ENCROACHMENT PERMIT NO.796-NLC-2477 BETWEEN CITY OF AZUSA AND STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WHEREAS, the City of Azusa acting as the lead agency for a joint cooperative group comprising of the Azusa Chamber of Commerce, Caltrans, the U.S. Forest Service and concerned citizens, and WHEREAS, the dedicated group of agencies have cohesively come together to form and establish the Canyon Task Force, and WHEREAS, in an effort to improve the image of the entrance to the San Gabriel Canyon, WHEREAS, to reinforce the City motto as "The Canyon City," and ,WHEREAS, to establish a tree planting program for public pleasure to enjoy and view for decades to come, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. Canyon Task Force Support The City of Azusa hereby supports the Canyon Task Force with its efforts to implement a tree planting program on Route 39. 2. Aereement The City of Azusa hereby agrees to maintain the tree planting project set forth by the Canyon Task Force with the provisions of Caltrans maintenance agreement for Encroachment Permit No. 796-NLC-2477 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of December 16,1996. �,L,0,y , uur e MAYPR I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution No; 96-C196 was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 16th day of December, 1996 by the following vote of the Council.
