RESOLUTION NO. 96—C192
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING A RENTAL
AGREEMENT FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED AT 617 NORTH AZUSA AVENUE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby find, determine and declare as
A. The City has received an offer to rent certain improved real property generally
located at 617 N. Azusa Avenue.
B. The Property is located in Azusa Central Business District Redevelopment Project
Area under the Redevelopment Plan of the City of Azusa;
C. The use of the Property is consistent with the Downtown Plan in that it urges
Pedestrian traffic through -out the Downtown;
D. The lease of the Property is for non-profit purposes and furthers the health, safety
and general welfare of the residents of Azusa;
E. In taking this action, the City has considered the environmental impact of its
decision, and after careful study, has determined that this project is categorically
exempt under the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act, the
California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines (Title 14 C.C.R. §15301) and the
City of Azusa's environmental procedures. The City, therefore, finds that this
project will have no significant effect on the environment.
SECTION 2. Based on all of the foregoing, the City Council of the City of Azusa hereby approves
that certain Rental Agreement for the property generally located at 617 N. Azusa Avenue in substantially
the same form as the agreement hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference. The City further
authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement in substantially the same for as depicted on Exhibit "A".
SECTION 3. A copy of the Rental Agreement, executed by the City Administrator, and President
shall by kept on file at City Hall. Staff is directed to do all that is necessary to effectuate the intent of the
Agreement.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
