The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper,
Malone, Owens, Strohmeier, Arnold, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
Each member present having acknowledged receipt
of a copy of the minutes of the regular meet-
ing of December 4, 19399 the Mayor asked if
there were any objections or corrections to
said minutes. There being none the minutes of
the regular meeting of December 4, 1939 were
unanimously approved.
Notices of Annual Meetingsof the Azusa Agri-
cultural Water Company and Azusa Citrus Assoc-
iation, were read.
Moved and unanimously carried that the Mayor
appoint Councilman Malone to represent the
City of Azusa at both the meeting of the Azusa
Agricultural Water Company and the Azusa Citrus
Association.
An application for employment with the police
Department, offered by Stuart A. Neale, was
read.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded
man Strohmeier and duly carried that

Board of Supervisors authorizing an appropria-
tion of $3,826.41 for the improvement of
Second Street, et.
al., within the City of
Azusa was read and ordered placed on file.

Councilman Malone that the City Clerk be
authorized and instructed to advertise for
bids on 5,000 tons, more or less, of pre -mix,
to be opened Tuesday, January 2, 1940.
