RESOLUTION NO. 97—C139
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING
DESIGN PLANS FOR THE DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa adopted Resolution No. 96-C179 on
November 18, 1996, approving options for the downtown circulation plan, and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Streetscape Program is intended to provide an improved
pedistrian-friendly environment and create a sense of place in the downtown, and
WHEREAS, theCity of Azusa authorized Urban Design Studios to design the Downtown
Streetscape Plans, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa conducted public workshops on
February 10, 1997, and April 14, 1997, and
WHEREAS, substantial and valuable public comments were received at the public
workshops, and
WHEREAS, Urban Design Studios prepared plans for the Downtown Streetscape
Program based on the public input,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1: The Downtown Streetscape Program design plans prepared by Urban
Design Studios are hereby approved.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
ASSED, APPROVED, ADOPTED this 1st day of October 1997.

RESOLUTION NO. 97—C138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
APPROVING A REAL ESTATE SALE AGREEMENT FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1040 NORTH ORANGE AVENUE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa ("City") does hereby find, determine and declare
that:
A. The City proposes to enter into an agreement for the sale of property located at 1040 North
Orange Avenue, Azusa ("Agreement"), a copy of which is attached to this Resolution as Exhibit A; and
B. The notice, publication and public hearing requirements of Health and Safety Code Section
33431 have been satisfied; and
C. The adoption of the Agreement could not possibly have a significant effect on the environment.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the Agreement in substantially the form attached
hereto as Exhibit A, together with such minor changes as may be approved by the Mayor and City Attorney.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City and to
take all action necessary to carry out the Agreement.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify passage and adoption of this Resolution and the same shall
thereupon take effect and be in force.
SECTION 5. Agency staff is directed to file a Notice of Exemption with the Los Angeles County Clerk.
