Home My WebLink AboutResolution No. 99-C1000 0 RESOLUTION NO. 99—C100 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, APPROVING THE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS MEMORANDUM BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE HEAD START/STATE PRESCHOOL EMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1998. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS: approving the application for licensing under the California Department of Social Services for the Azusa Head Start/State Preschool Program; and WHEREAS: it is appropriate to formally establish salaries and benefits for employees of this program for the fiscal year 1998-99; and WHEREAS: it is customary for the Management of the City of Azusa to receive, on a periodic basis, proposals for amendments to the memoranda and/or Resolutions that govern the compensation, benefits and working conditions of City employees, based upon changes in the consumer price index and other factors, and WHEREAS: the City Council acknowledged the Head Start/State Preschool employees working in the Library Department of the City of Azusa, and having the job titles as listed in Exhibits "A'; and WHEREAS: it is Management's practice to pattern its Head Start compensation after that of the Los Angeles County Office of Education, and it's Head Start benefits after those of the other City of Azusa employees, and WHEREAS: on June 7, 1999, during a routine salary audit by the Los Angeles County Office of Education, a clerical error was discovered, as to the number of hours each Head Start employee is scheduled to work each week, on the Exhibit "A," and WHEREAS: on July 23,1999, Los Angeles County Office of Education is requiring the amending of the Head Start/State Preschool employees hours per week on Exhibit "A," and WHEREAS: Staff is requesting that Exhibit "A," be corrected and approved by City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY: 0 9 Adopt the amended Exhibit "A" as attached hereto and to amend the Compensation and Benefits Memorandum between the City and the Head Start/State Preschool employees for fiscal 1998-99. 1999 I HEREBY CERTIFY the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof on the 2" of August 1999, by the following vote of the Council; AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: HARDISON, STANFORD, ROCHA, BEEBE, MADRID NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: NONE ABSENT: COUNCIL DERIVED FROM THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION HEAD START/STATE PRESCHOOL APPROVED SALARY SCHEDULE ® 100.00% OF 7/IN8 SCHEDULE.
