The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll calls Councilmen; Jumper,
Malone, Bradshaw, Arnold, Owens, City Attorney
Miller and City Clerk.
Each member present having acknowledged receipt
of a written copy of the minutes of the regular
meeting of November 4th, 1940, the Mayor asked
if there were any objections or corrections to
said minutes. There being none, the minutes of
the regular meeting of November 4th, 1940 were
unanimously approved as written.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Coun-
cilman Malone that the action of the City
Council taken on November 6, 1940 ordering the
City Clerk to advertise for Bids on vitrified
clay pipe, to be opened on November 18, 1940,
be hereby ratified, confirmed and approved.
Carried by the following vote of the Councils
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw,
Arnold, Owens.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
The City Clerk announced that she had received
three bids in answer to Notice calling for
bids on vitrified clay pipe.

cilman Bradshaw the Bids be now opened,
examined and publicly declared.

10. In addition to the above mentioned unit prices interest at the
rate of6 per cent per annum will be charged on all materials
delivered unit prices above mentioned which remain unpaid
after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the first day of the
month next succeeding the month in which deliveries are made, but
in any such event payment for all material delivered shall be made
on or before July 1, 1941 .

delivered shall be made within one year from the first day of
the month next succeeding the month in which deliveries of
material are made.

cilman Jumper the bids be referred to the City
Engineer for checking.

Gladding, McBean & Company were the lowest
responsible bidder.
Councilman Arnold offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RESOLUTION NO.
AZUSA AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING 1687 adopted.
CERTAIN MATERIALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
SEWAGE COLLECTION SYSTEM IN SAID CITY.
Moved by Councilman Bradshaw, seconded by
Councilman Malone this Resolution be adopted
as read and numbered Resolution No. 1687.

contract between the City of Azusa and the Contract
Associated Assessment Engineers, "City Clerk" corrected.

of four cases of delinquent Street Assessment
be approved as recommended in Mr. Hainest

to carry the same into effect.

A request made by John- Mora to open a liquor Mr. Mora's reques
store on the corner of 2nd Street and Soldeno referred to Chief
Avenue, was read. of Police.

Councilman Jumper this matter be referred to
the Chief of Police to report back at the
next regular meeting of the Council.
