The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper, Roll call. Malone, Bradshaw, Arnold, Owens, City Attorney Miller and City Clerk. Each member present having acknowledged receipt Minutes approved. of a written copy of the minutes of the regular meeting of December 2nd, 1940,_ the.Mayor asked if there were any objections or corrections to said minutes. There being none, the minutes of the regular meeting of December 2nd, 1940 were unanimously approved as written. The Clerk announced that she had received eight Bids opened. Bids in answer to Notice calling for Bids on a dump truck. Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council- man Arnold the Bids be now opened, examined and publicly declared. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw, Arnold, Owens. Noes: None. Absent: None. M 2.9 A communication signed by Cornelius Smith advising Council of action taken by the Plan- Dr. Greinstein's ning Commission relative to Dr. Greinstein's application denied request to operate a Rest Home within the City Limits, was read. Moved and carried that same be placed on file. Councilman Arnold offered an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SCHEDULE P-1 OF SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER ' 328 OF SAID CITY OF AZUSA, RELATING TO RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE. to be read for the second time. The title was then read. Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Coun- cilman Arnold that Council waive the further reading of this Ordinance. Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council- man Arnold this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1688.
