The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper,
Malone, Bradshaw, Arnold, Owens, City Attorney
Miller and City Clerk.
Each member present having acknowledged receipt
of a written copy of the minutes of the regular
meeting of January 6, 1941, the Mayor asked if
there were any objections or corrections to said
' minutes. There being none, the minutes of the
regular meeting of January 6, 1941 were unani-
mously approved as written.
An application presented by Gertie Rush, was
read.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Malone that Mrs. Gertie Rush be appointed
to collect the dog licenses now due.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw,
Arnold, Owens.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
A communication signed by S. V. Cortelyou re-
lative to the Freeway Agreement for grade separa-
tion between the A. T. & S. F. Railway Company
tracks and Foothill Boulevard, State Highway
Route No. 9, was read.

1941.

This Ordinance was then read for the first time.
An application, offered by F. R. Gupton, to
operate four duck pin bowling alleys at 719
Azusa Avenue, was read.
Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Coun-
cilman Jumper and duly carried the Chief of
Police be authorized to issue a city license
to Mr. Gupton to operate a duck pin bowling
alley provided he complies with all require-
ments set forth in business license Ordinance
No. 326.

cilman Malone that Resolution No. 1670 passed
and adopted July 1, 1940 employing Harry 5.
Chester as Deputy Police for the purpose of
collecting delinquent dog licenses, be repealed
and rescinded; the Chief of Police to notify Mr.
Chester the office has been vacated and to pick
up the badge given Mr. Chester when acting as
such officer.
