Due to lack of a quorum the regular meeting of
the Azusa City Council was adjourned to meet Meeting adjourned.
Tuesday, September 16, 1941 at 7:30 P. M.

The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular adjourned session at the above time
and place.
' Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper,
Malone, Bradshaw, Arnold, Owens, City Attorney
Tscharner and City Clerk.
Each member present having acknowledged receipt
of a written copy of the minutes of the regular
meeting of September 2, 1941, the Mayor asked if
there were any objections or corrections to said
minutes. There being none, the minutes of the
regular meeting of September 2, 1941 were unani-
mously approved as written.
Councilman Malone offered a Resolution entitled::
A RESOLUTION OF THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
AND APPROVING A CERTAIN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, LTD., AND
THE CITY OF AZUSA RELATING TO THE PURCHASE OF
ELECTRICAL ENERGY AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR TO SIGN SUCH AGREEMENT.
Moved by Councilman Bradshaw, seconded by Coun-
cilman Jumper this,Resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No. 1731.

Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw,
Arnold, Owens.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
A letter written to the State Division of High-
ways relative to the removal of the monument at
the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Azusa
Avenue, was read and ordered placed on file.

A communication from Mr. Cortelyou and one from Communications
Mr. Kressly relative to the installation of filed.

Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, was read and
ordered placed on file.
A petition with 31 names attached thereto, re-
questing Council to deny Mr. Clements and Mr.
Randolphs'request for a business license,
was read.

Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Coun-
cilman Malone the City Treasurer be authorized
and directed to renew the contract between the
City of Azusa and the First National Bank
covering City Deposits, dated September 22, 1941
to September 22, 1942.
