The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper,
Malone, Bradshaw, Owens, City Attorney Miller
and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.
Each member having acknowledged receipt of a
written copy of the minutes of the regular meet-
ing of September 15th and the adjourned session
' of September 22, 1941, the Mayor asked if there
were any objections or corrections to said min-
utes. There being none, the minutes of the
regular meeting of September 15th and the ad-
journed session of September 22, 1941 were
unanimously approved as written.
Councilman Malone offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPOINT-
ING P. J. TSCHARNER AND ALBERT H. MILLER AS CITY
ATTORNEYS OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND FIXING
THEIR SALARIES.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Bradshaw this Resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No. 1732.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw,
Owens.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.

Councilman Bradshaw offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
' AZUSA RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 1730 AND AUTHORI- RESOLUTION NO.
ZING THE CITY TO DELIVER CITRUS FRUIT GROWN ON 1733 adopted.
CITY PROPERTY TO THE AZUSA CITRUS ASSOCIATION.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council-
man Jumper this Resolution be adopted as read
and numbered Resolution No. 1733.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw,Owens.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Arnold.
Mrs. Dodge reported the cans and garbage were
not collected on Paramount Avenue, also a street
light was necessary on the corner of Azusa and
Paramount Avenues.
Moved by Councilman Bradshaw, seconded by Coun-
cilman Malone this matter be referred to the
Street Superintendent and Superintendent of
Light and Power.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Tumper.Malono,Bradshaw,Owens.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.

Moved and carried the License Collector be
instructed to issue same.
Councilman Jumper offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, TRANS-
FERRING THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5000.
FROM VARIOUS FUNDS TO THE SEWER CONSTRUCTION
FUND #2.
License Collector

License.

Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council-
man Bradshaw the Mayor and City Clerk be authori-
zed and instructed to sign demands in the amount
' of $100. each, made to the members of the City
Council, the City Attorney and City Clerk to defray
the expense of attending the League -of California
Cities Convention to be held at Sacramento
October 13, 14.,, 15p 16, 1941.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:'
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper,Malone,Bradshaw,Owens.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Arnold.
Mr. Winokur appeared before Council to make
application for a permit to erect a garage on
his property near the corner of Foothill Boule-
vard and Alameda Avenue.

his seat at the Council table.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Bradshaw the following requisitions be
allowed: 1236-1240, 1301-1307.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone,Bradshaw,Arnold,
Owens.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Coun-
cilman Bradshaw the following bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury
for the same.
Carded by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw,
Arnold, Owens.
