CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. DECEMBER 1, 1941. 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen, Jumper, Malone,
Bradshaw, Owens, City Attorney Miller and City Roll call.
Clerk.
Absent: Councilman Arnold.
Each member present having acknowledged receipt Minutes approved:
of a written copy of the minutes of the regular
meeting of November 17, 1941, the Mayor asked if
' there were any objections or corrections to said
minutes. There being none, the minutes of the
regular meeting of November 17, 1941 were unani-
mously approved as written.
A request offered by Rev. Ruebel of Glendora, for
desk space near a telephone and centrally located
for use of the National Guard in case of an emer- Request referred
gency, was read. to Mayor Owens.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council-
man Jumper this matter be referred to the Mayor
with power to act.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw, Owens.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Arnold.

Jumper this Resolution be adopted as read and
numbered Resolution No. 1739.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:

Noes: None.' Absent: Councilman Arnold.
A communication from C. F. Proctor, Redemption Tax
Supervisor for the State of California, relative Communication
to tax deeded lands, was read and ordered placed ordered placed
on file, on file.
A petition containing 80 names, requesting the
repeal of Ordinance No. 326, was presented. Petition refer -
ed to City
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council- Attorney to

Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Arnold.
Councilman Malone reported the weeds on Cerritos
Avenue would be cut down and removed.
Councilman Arnold entered the meeting and took
his seat at the Council table.
Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Council- Superintendent
man Jumper the Superintendent of Light and Power of Light & Power
be -authorized and instructed to cancel the contract authorized to
between the City of Azusa and the Neon Sign Company cancel contract
and enter into contract with a suitable Company between City of
for repair on City owned Neon Signs. Azusa and Neon

and Fire Committee, with power to act.

Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Council-
man Jumper Nick Jara's request to open a restaurant
be referred to the Chief of Police, with power to
act.

Arnold, Owens.

Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Bradshaw the following requisitions be
allowed: 1327 - 1332, 1354.
