CITY HALL, kZUSA, CALIFORNIA. FEBRUARY 2, 1942. 7:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Jumper, Roll call.
Malone, Bradshaw, Arnold, Owens, City Attorney
Miller and City Clerk.
Each member present having acknowledged receipt
of a written copy of the minutes of the regular
meeting of January 19, 1942, the Mayor asked if Minutes approved.

said minutes. There being none, the minutes of
the regular meeting of January 19, 1942 were
unanimously approved as written.
Three Bids on the City's gasoline requirements Bids on gasoline

Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Coun-
cilman Arnold'and duly carried the bids be

AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, TRANS- RESOLUTION NO.
FERRING THE SUM OF TPIENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLIA RS 1749 adopted.
(x25,000.) FROM THE LIGHT FUND AND TWENTY-FIVE
HUNDRED DOLLARS (2,500.) FROM THE LIGHT RESERVE
FUND TO VARIOUS FUNDS.
Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Coun-
cilman Bradshaw this Resolution be adopted as
read and numbered Resolution No. 1749.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Malone, Bradshaw,
Arnold, Owens.
Noes: None. Absent: None.

and the City Clerk be instructed to return

Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Coun-
cilman Arnold that in the opinion of the City
Council the car for Police work can be purchased
at a lower price in the open market, therefor
this matter be referred to the Purchasing
Committee and Chief of Police to investigate
and report back at the next regular meeting of
the Council:

Councilman Jumper complimented the Police
Department on their efficiency.
Councilman Bradshaw gave a general report on
activity in the Fire and Police Schools.
Mayor Owens reported on the appointment of
Air Raid Wardens and the selection of First
Aid Shelters.
Superintendent Virgil Smith reported that the
connection of the two water systems had been
completed.
