HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 10-C96RESOLUTION NO. 10-C96 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE AZUSA POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2010, THROUGH JULY 31, 2015 WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges the Azusa Police Officers Association as the recognized employee organization representing those personnel occupying the positions identified in the attached Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the Azusa Police Officers Association (APOA), and WHEREAS, the Memorandum between the City of Azusa and the APOA expired July 31, 2010, and it is appropriate for the management of the City to receive proposals that govern the compensation, benefits and working conditions of City employees, and WHEREAS, the representatives of management and representatives of APOA have met on numerous occasions during the last 5 months and have discussed the issues between them and have bargained in good faith, and WHEREAS, management and APOA have come to an agreement with regard to every issue, and WHEREAS, the new Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Azusa and the APOA covering the period of August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2015, is attached. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby approve the Memorandum of Understanding attached hereto and does direct the representatives of management to affix their signatures thereon. The City Clerk shall certify the passage of this Resolution. APPROVED AND PASSED this 6"i day of December, 2010. /JOSEPH R.
