The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Mr. Kressly offered an estimate on the cost of CITY ENGINEER sidewalk construction on Fifth Street OFFERED AN ESTIMATE ON Councilman Bradshaw offered a Resolution en- CONSTRUCTION titled: OF SIDEWALK Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, ROLL Malone, Bradshaw, Morden,'Jumper. City Attor- CALL ney Tscharner and City Clerk. Absent: None Each member present acknowledged receipt of a written copy of the minutes of the regular MINUTES meeting of June 1, 1942. The Mayor asked if APPROVED there were any objections or corrections to said minutes. There being none, the minutes of the regular meeting were unanimously ap- proved as written. A quotation on rock, sand and gravel, offered QUOTATION ON by the Azusa Rock and Sand Co. was read. AND CITY CLERK INSTRUCTED TO IJfoved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Council- REPLY man Morden, the City Clerk be instructed to advise the local Chamber of Commerce the City is under contract with the County Department of Building and Safety whereby the City has dele- gated this work to that Department, and in the opinion of the Council, it would be difficult to find anyone in the City of Azusa willing to ' take over this work, especially at this time, for the fees derived from permits issued.
