Present at roll call: Councilman: Owens, Malone, Bradshaw, Morden, Jumper, City attor- ney Tscharner and City Clerk. Absent. None. Each member present acknowledged receipt of a written copy of the minutes of the regular meeting of July 20, 1942. The Mayor asked if MINUTES APPROVED there were any objections or corrections to said ' minutes. There being nong,the minutes of the regular meeting were unanimously approved as written. A communication from the Associated Assessment COTY24UNICATION Engineers relative to Tax Deeded Lands was read. FILED. No action taken in this matter. A, report on tax relating to admissions, signed by F. M. Robinson, City Auditor, was read and COMMUNICATION ordered placed on file. FILED. Elizabeth Anderson offered her resignation as ELIZABETH ANDER- Deputy City Clerk. Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council- SON'S RESIGNA- man Owens, the resignation be accepted and TION ACCEPTED. placed on file. A communication from the State Compensation COMMUNICATION Insurance Fund relative to injury sustained by FILED. Otis Martin was read and ordered placed on file. Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Council- man Bradshaw, the bill submitted by Dr. Cook in DR. COOK ALLOWED the amount of $10.00 for services rendered Otis $10.00. Martin, be allowed. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Malone, Bradshaw; Morden, Jumper, Noes: None. Absent: None. Mr. E. M. Templeman offered a bid of $315.00 for MR. TEMPLEMAN'S the redecorating of interior of Public Library. BID. Moved and Carried that same be placed on file. Councilman Bradshaw offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RESOLUTION N0. AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES. 1766 ADOPTED. Moved by Mayor Jumper, seconded by Councilman Bradshaw, this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1766. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Bradshaw, Owens, Malone, Morden, Jumper, Noes: None. Absent: None. It was unanimously agreed the matter of dumping PUBLIC NUISANCES rubbish burning of public REFERRED TO ' , g papers and other nuisances be referred to the Chief of Police. CHIEF OF POLICE. The matter of War Damage Insurance for the protection of City Buildings was discussed and WAR DAMAGE Council agreed to carry same over until the next INSURANCE CARRIE regular meeting.
