The City Council of the City of Azusa met
in regular session at the above time and
place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens,
Malone, Bradshaw, Morden, Jumper, City
Attorney and City Clerk.
Each member present acknowledged receipt
of a written copy of the minutes of the
regular meeting of August 17, 1942. The
Mayor asked if there were any objections
or corrections to said minutes. There be-
ing none, the minutes of the regular meet-
ing of August 17, 1942, were unanimously
approved as written.
The Clerk announced she had received one
sealed bid in answer to Notice calling for
sealed bids on a dump truck for the Sewer
Department.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by
Councilman Bradshaw the bid be now opened,
examined and publicly declared:

Bradshaw, Council reject the bid of the Drew Carriage
Company and refer the purchase of a dump truck to
the Chairman of Purchasing Committee, with power
to act.

Mr. B. Steins requested Council to grant him
a license as a Junk Dealer.
Moved and carried the Clerk advise Mr. Steins
to contact City Attorney Tscharner who will
assist Mr. Steins in acquiring his license.

Chairman of the Civitan Club of Azusa requesting
permission to place a bench marked "For Service PERMISSION GRANT -
Men Only" near one of the intersections on ED TO PLACE

the nuisance caused by skunks near her
home.
