The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Malone, Bradshaw, Morden, Jumper, City Attorney and City Clerk. Each member present acknowledged receipt of a written copy of the minutes of the regular meeting of August 17, 1942. The Mayor asked if there were any objections or corrections to said minutes. There be- ing none, the minutes of the regular meet- ing of August 17, 1942, were unanimously approved as written. The Clerk announced she had received one sealed bid in answer to Notice calling for sealed bids on a dump truck for the Sewer Department. Steins requested Council to grant him a license as a Junk Dealer. Moved and carried the Clerk advise Mr. Steins to contact City Attorney Tscharner who will assist Mr. Steins in acquiring his license. MR. STEINE' S LETTER REFERRED TO CITY ATTORNEY A communication signed by Verne Heth, Committee Chairman of the Civitan Club of Azusa requesting permission to place a bench marked "For Service PERMISSION GRANT - Men Only" near one of the intersections on ED TO PLACE Foothill Boulevard, was read.
