The City Council of the City of Azusa met in rebular
session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Bradshaw,
Morden, Malone, Citi* Attorney Miller and City Clerk. ROLL CALL
Absent: Councilman Jumper.
Mr. L. Iiolderman addressed Council stressing the reed
for a portable transmitter Radio Set to be used in
connection with County Communication System in con-
junction with the U. S. Army.
Mr. Smith, Secretary of the Azusa Defense Council also CITY TO PUR-
reeuested such a set. CHASE RADIO
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman SET.
Owens, the request be granted, and the set purchased by the City.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Bradshaw, Norden, Malone.
Noes: None. Abscnt: Councilman Jumper.
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman
Bradsahw the matter of purchasing four First Aid Kits PURCHASE OF
for Air Raid Warden Cars be referred to the Purchasing FIRST AID KITS
Committee with power to act. REFERRED TO
Carried by the following vote of the Council: PURCHASING
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens; Bradshaw, Morden, Malone.. COMMITTEE.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman: Jixiner.
George V. Ott, Chief Observer for the U. S. Army
' Aircraft Observation Post, requested assistance from
the City in remodeling the observatory on top of ;p50.00 TO BE
observation tower. DONATED TO
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman. ORSERVATION

ORDINANCE NO. 355 OF SAID CITY ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE
OF TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, REGULATING THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTAL-
LATION, ALTERATION AND USE OF PUBLIC AND HOUSE CONNECTION
SEWERS WITHIN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND PROVIDING FOR THE
ISSUING OF PERMITS THEREFOR AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES
FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF" AND ALSO ADDING A NEW SECTION
