The Citv Council of the City
in regular adjourned session
time and place.
Present at roll call:
Councilmen: Owens, Bradshaw,
City Attorney Tscharner and
of Azusa met
at the a hove
Morden, Malone,
City Clerk.
Mayor Malone stated the adjourned meeting
was called to appoint a Councilman to fill
the vacancy caused by the resignation of
Harry D. Jumper; that the name of Claude
Dickerson or Walter Johnson, men who live

in the section of the City Where Mr. Jumper
resided before his resignation, would be
acceptable to him.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by
Councilman Morden, that Dr. E. D. Cook be
appointed a member of the City Council to
fill the vacancy caused by the resignation
of Harr- D. Jumner.
Ayes: Councilemn: Owens, Morden.
Noes: Councilmen: Rradshaw, I.Ialone. Absent:
None.

Mayor Malone that Walter Johnson be appoint-
ed a member of the Cit,r Council to fill the
vacancy caused by the resignation of Harry
D. Jwn'er.
Ayes: Councilmen: Rradshaw, Malone.
Moes: Councilmen: Owens, Morden. Absent:
None.

Councilman Morden that Ray J. Lamm be ap-
nointed a member of the Cit;; Council to fill
the r acanc,,r r.wt;.sed' by the resignation of
Harry D. Jumper.

Mayor Malone the motion be =mended to read
that Ray J. Lamm be contacted end hip con-
sent to become a member secured before
further action be taken on this motion.

Noes: Councilmen: Ovens, P4orden, Absent:
None.
Mayor Malone stated that -he had contact
Ray Lamm who refused to accept such an
' appointment due to his activity in the aoy
Scout Organization and other iriportant
duties.
It was then agreed that Mr. Lamp be sent
for with the request that he appear before
Council. After e, short time Mr. Lamm
entered the council chamber and upon ex-
planation, by the City Attorney, of the
situation facin;; the City Council he con-
sented to accept the nomination.
The motion of Councilman Owens, seconded
by Councilman Morden to appoint Ray J.
Lamm to fill the vacancy was then voted
upon -ind carried by the following vote:
