The City Council of the City of Azusa met in i Special Session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Lamm, Morden, Malone, City ROLL CALL Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Bradshaw. The Notice of Call of Meeting and the Officer's Report are as follows: ' PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Azusa, State of California, IS HEREBY CALLED to be held in the Council Chambers of said City on Wednesday, March 31, 1943 at 5:00 o'clock P.M. for the purpose of con- sidering the construction of a sewer line fron Mr. Muehe's building located on the south side of West Foothill Boulevard to the main lateral, and for such other matters as may legally come before the Council. Dated: March 31, 1943. Walter Malone Mayor of the City of Azusa I hereby certify that I received the attached "NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA" at 1:35 P.M. on the 31st day of March 31, 1943, and that I served the same on the hereinafter named persons, who are members of the City Council of the City of Azusa, at the time set after their res- pective names, by personally delivering to and leaving with said persons a true copy of the attached "NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA." City Engineer, Kressly, submitted a report on his findings relative to the discharge of sewage and industrial wastes from the proposed plant of the California Brined Fruit Company ENGINEER'S into the sewage system of the City of Azusa. REPORT After some discussion Mr. Charno of the Calif- ornia Brined Fruit Company said that he had not realized the expense entailed in locating CALIFORNIA this Plant in Azusa, and enumerated such items BRINED FRUIT CO. as leasing the adjoining land, erecting a TO SUBMIT fence, tearing un the cement floor to put in DECISION OTT proper drains, etc. MONDAY, APRIL 5th. Council agreed to assume two thirds of the cost of connection with the main sewer lateral. ' Mr. Charno said they would have their decision ready for Council on Monday, April 5, 1943.
