CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. MONDAY NOVEMBER 1, 1943. 7:30 P.M.21
The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above t ime and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Lamm, ROIL CALL
Bradshaw, Morden, Malone, City Attorney Tscharner,
and City Clerk.
Each member present acknowledged receipt of a
written copy of the minutes of the adjourned meet-
ings of October 7th and October 13th and the reg-
ular meeting of October 18th, the adjourned meeting
of October 25th. 1943.
The Mayor asked if the were any objections or
corrections to said minutes. There being none, the
minutes of October 7th, 13th, 17th, and 25th, 1943,
were approved as written.
Councilman Morden offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, TRANS-
FERRING THE SUM OF TWELVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($12,500.00) FROM THE LIGHT FUND TO THE
GENERAL FUND.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman
Lamm, this Resolution be adopted as read and
numbered Resolution No. 1807.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Lamm, Bradshaw,
Morden, Malone.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Councilman Morden offered a Resolution entitled:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE COMPUTATION,OF AMOUNTS OF EXPENSES 0 F THE
CITIZEN'S SERVICE CORPS OF SAID CITY.
Moved by Councilman Bradshaw, seconded by Council-
man Owens, this Resolution be adopted as read and
numbered Resolution No. 1808.
carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Lamm, Bradshaw, Morden,
Malone.
Noes: None. Absent: None.

Councilman Owens reported on the meeting he attended COUNCILMAN
in answer to Rear Admiral J. C. Johnson's invitation OWENS' REPORT.
relative to recruiting "Waves"; also on the dinner
meeting of the California Housing and Planning
Association.
It was unanimously agreed to refer the matter of
recruiting Waves to Mrs. Bonner.
Councilman Owens

Defense measures, and requesting
ON CHANGE IN
them to stand
by
in case of an emergency; also the
DEFENSE MEASUF
office of the
Defense
Council would remain open on
half time for

more month.
Moved by Councilman Bradshaw, seconded by Council-
man Morden, Council employ H. M. Hiebert, as Patrol- H. M. HIEBERT
man at a salary of $175.00 per month, effective as TO RECEIVE
of November 1st, 1943. $175.00 PER
Carried by the following vote of the Council: MONTIT.

Malone. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Street Superintendent Arthur Wolfe reported he STREET SUPF.RIN
inspected the Bucyrus Erie Drag Shovel rented to TENDFNT REPORT
Midland Construction Company, and found it in ED ON SHOVEL
excellent condition.

Lamm the following requisitions be allowed: 1716-
1717-1716-1721-1722-1723-1760-1761. REQUTSITIOYS x
Carried by the following vote 'of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Lamm, Bradsha.., Morden,
Malone. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman
lamm the following Bills be allowed and warrants
