The'City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time and place.
Present at roll -call: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper,
Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm, City Attorney Miller and ROLL CALL
City Clerk. Absent: None.
Each member present acknowledged receipt of a written
copy of the minutes of December 4, 1944. The Mayor
asked if there were any objections or corrections to MINUTES APPROVED
said Minutes. There being none, the minutes of
December 4, 1944 were approved as written.
A notice of the annual meeting of the Azusa Citrus
Association was read.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman
Jumper and duly carried Mayor Lamm represent the
City at this meeting.
Mr.,Powell addressed Council and offered, for their
consideration, sketches of the proposed'addition to
the -City Hall Building.
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman
Memmesheimer the preliminary sketch as submitted by
the -Architect Mr. Powell, be referred to the City
Planning Commission for their consideration and
recommendation to Council.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden
Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Mr. Rolla E. Clapp addressed Council relative to his
application, presented to the Planning Commission for
re -zoning of certain portions of Tract 8507, which
would permit the construction of Duplex Dwellings.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Councilman
Owens the recommendation of the City Planning
Commission respecting the application of Mr. Clapp
'
for -re -zoning be re -considered and the*Planning
Commission be instructed to advise Mr. Clapp the`
date of their meeting so that he may be present to
present his case to that Body.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden
Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman
Owens the installation of an automatic starter for the
City Pumps be referred to Superintendent Smith with
power to act.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden,
Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman
Morden the Attorneys Tscharner and Miller be author-
ized to represent the City in the case of Assets
Reconstruction Corporation vs The Pacific Company Ltd.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden
Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman
' Memmesheimer the City accept a settlement of $36.00
for three Ealm trees damaged in an automobile
accident.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:

Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by Council-
man Jumper the following requisitions be allowed:
