Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lsmm, City Attorney and Deputy City Clerk. The Deputy Clerk presented the following notice of Special meeting, and the return thereon, of the Chief of Police: NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ' PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Azusa, state of California, IS HEREBY CALLED to be held in the Council Chambers of said City on Monday, March 26, 1945, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. for the purpose of considering the procedure and calling for bids for the construction of the addition to the Azusa City Hall Building in accordance with the plans and specifications on file and any other matters that may properly be brought before the Council.Dated: March 24, 1945. Lamm eyor or the city of Azusa I hereby certify that I received the attached "NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZIISA" at 11:20 A.M. on the 24th day of'March, 1945, and that I served the same on the hereinafter named persons who are members of the City Council of the City of Azusa, at the time set after their respective names, by personally delivering to and leaving with said persons a true copy of the attached "NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZIISA." Same was ordered filed and made a part of these minutes. The matter of the construction of alterations and improvements to the Azusa City Hall then'came up. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Councilman Memmesheimer that the Deputy City Clerk be authorized on behalf of City to call for sealed bids for construction of the alterations and improvements of City Hall complete, in accordance with plans and specifications by Marsh -Smith and 'Powell Architects; Bids to be opened at 7:30 P.M., Monday, April 16, 1945 before City Council in Council Chambers of City of Azusa; Copies of plans and specifications to be available to bidders on and after April 4, 1945 in City Clerk►s office; Each bid to be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check in an amount not less than 10% of the total amount of price bid; City reserves right to reject any and all ' bids submitted, and that Deputy City Clerk be instructed to advertise twice in accordance with the terms of this motion, in the Azusa Herald-dand the Daily Construction Report known as "The Green Sheet." Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm. Noes: Councilmen: Owens, Morden. Absent: None.
