Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm, City Attorney Tscharner ROLL CALL and City Clerk. Absent: None. Each member present acknowledged receipt of a written copy of the minutes of June 4, 1945. The Mayor asked if there'were any objections or corrections to said minutes. There being none, the minutes of June 4, MINUTES APPROV- 1945 were approved as written. ED. Joseph De Salvo presented a written application to operate a taxi service. It was unanimously agreed the Clerk advise Mr. De Salvo that Council have granted Mr. Fitzgerald MR. DE SALVO'S permission to operate a taxi service in Azusa. REQUEST D ENIED The City Clerk reported on Fidelity Bond and Money andSecurities policy for the Light and Water Depart- ments. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Jumper The Clerk be authorized to instruct the Royal Indemnity Company to write a blanket fidelity bond BONDS FOR LIGHT for Light and Water Employees at a premium of $175.00 AND WATER for three years, also to write the Broad Form Money DEPARTMENTS & Securities Policy at a premium of $68.75 for three AUTHORIZED years. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Morden offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT- ING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES RELATIVE TO EMPLOYMENT OF RESOLUTION NO. REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION IN DRAWING PLANS FOR A 1898 ADOPTED CITY PARK. A letter of appreciation from the City of Glendora was read and ordered placed on file. The matter of State Employees' Retirement System was discussed. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Owens the Mayor be authorized to sign contract CONTRACT BETWEEN between the City of Azusa and State Employees' Retire- CITY OF AZUSA ment System with the Firm of Coates and Herfurth, as AND STATE Consulting Actuaries. RETIREMENT Carried by the following vote of the Council: SYSTEM AUTHORIZE Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman Jumper Council rescind action taken April 16, 1945, recorded in Minute Book #15, Page 205 relative to RESCIND ACTION expenditures to be made from the Motor Vehicle Act TAKEN ON M.V.A. Fund. FUND Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Owens offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO LOTS 7 and 8 IN BLOCK 69 OF LANDS OF AZUSA LAND AND WATER COMPANY IN SAID CITY.
