Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, I:•Iorden, Lamm, City Attorney Tscharner and City Clerk. Atsent: None. Each member present acknowledged receipt of a written copy of the minutes of July 16, 1945. The Mayor asked if there were any objections or corrections to said minutes. There being none, the minutes of July 16, 1945 were approved as written. I Councilman Memmesheimer recommended Council appoint Elena Kimbrell Court Clerk and Clerk in the office of the Chief of Police. Councilman Memmesheimer offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA AMENDING RESOLUTION 1900 IN AS FAR AS IT APPLIES TO THE SALARY OF THE CITY JUDGE. Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Councilman Owens this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution Number 1901. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Morden offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA EMPLOYING ELENA KIMBRELL COURT CLERK AND CLIIRK IN OFFICE OF CHIEF OF POLICE AND FIXING HER SALARY. Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman Jumper this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution Number 1902. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmeshelmer, Morden, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None. Mr. Pon addressed Council relative to Subdivision Number 13426. Moved by Councilman Morden, seconded by Councilman Jumper the City Clerk, City Treasurer and City Engineer be authorized and directed to -sign affidavits necessary as matter of law on Tract Number 13426 provided that the City Engineer shall first approve map and that after said map has been approved the City Clerk be authorized to add thereto the written approval of the City Council and further that Mr. Pon be required to file a Surety Company Bond in such amount as the Engineer may name, prior to the signing of said affidavits. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Morden offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF THE SUM OF ;;500 BY SAID CITY OF AZUSA FOR MUSIC AND PROMOTION. Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman Memmesheimer this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution Number 1903. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Morden, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: None: The Ma or appointed Mrs. Benjamine Spriggs to serve on the Library Roard until June 30, 1948. 7:30 P.M. 239 ROLL CALL MINUTES APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 1901 ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 1902 ADOPTED TRACT NO. 13426 TO BE APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 1903 ADOPTED PM CITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, MOA?DAY, AUGUST 6, 1945 Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman Jumper and duly carried Council approve the action of the Mayor. Elder and Marie Krause of X1620 Pasadena Avenue made application for a business license to transport injured personnel of the Aerojet Corporation to and from the Plant and Doctor's office in Azusa. Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Councilman Memmesheimer this request be granted. And the City Clerk be instructed to issue a taxi license to Mr. and Mrs. Krause. Carried by the following vete of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, P:Iemmesheimer, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden. General Tire and Rubber Company of California request- ed a business license to operate a warehoues on Aerojet Corporation property. Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by Council- man Jumper the City Clerk be instructed to issue a license to the General Tire and Rubber Company for a warehouse. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden. Change Order Number 3 on the City Hall addition was presented. Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Councilman M Memmesheimer the Playor be authorized to sign this Order Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden. A communication from the Federal Works Agency relative to Post War Planning was read. No action taken in this matter. Councilman Owens offered a Resolution entitled: 7:30 P.M. 241 ELDER & MARIE KRAUSE GRAII'PED TAXI LICENSE CITY CLERK INSTRUCT ED TO ISSUE LICENSE GENERAL TIRE & RUBBER CO. CHANGE ORDER NO.3 APPROVED A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COU*TTY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT- ING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING ACTION VS W.E.
