The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
adjourned session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper,
Memmesheimer, Lamm, City Attorney Miller and City
Clerk. Absent: Councilman Morden.
A committee consisting of Murray Vosburg, George
Meier and Penn Philips addressed Council relative
to the approval of proposed Tract #13736.
Councilman Jumper offered a Resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RELATIVE TO SE flMS AND
SEWER CONNECTIONS SERVING THE PROPOSED SUBDIVISION,
TRACT NO. 13736, BEING A PORTION OF LOTS 50 AND 71 OF
SUB. #2 AZUSA LAND AND WATER COMPANY.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman
Memmdsheimer this Resolution be adopted as read and
numbered Resolution Number 1928.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman
Memmesheimer the plan of Tract No. 13736 be referred
to the City Engineer for checking and report at next
regular meeting of Council:
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden.
Mr. Camire addressed Council rdquesting permission
to re -subdivide four lots on the corner of 4th
Street and San Gabriel Avenue.
Moved and carried this matter be referred to the
Planning Commission.
The Building Inspector reported to Council that the
garage, being remodeled for living quarters by Mrs.
Kneiling, did not conform to requirements of
Ordinance No. 342.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Jumper and duly carried this matter be
referred to the Planning Commission.
The City Clerk advised Council the City had taken
tax deed in error on Lots 5, 6 and 7 Block 63.
Moved by Councilman Owens, seconded by Councilman
Jumper the Clerk be authorized and instructed to
accept the redemption amount for the tax
delinquency on Lots 5, 6 and 7 Block 63 and the
City Attorney instructed to take the necessary
steps to clear the lots of the City Tax Title.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Jumper the City Clerk be authorized to
fill out blanks , sign and mail to the Board of
'Administration, State Employees' Retirement
System at Sacramento the request for the necessary
steps in the City's participation in the State
Retirement Plan.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morden.
George Rodecker, requested the Council consider the
sale, to him, of City owned property located in
rear of his property on Angeleno Avenue.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Jumper and duly carried the Clerk advise
Mr. Rodecker Council will take this matter under
advisement.
