The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular adjourned session at the above time
and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Memmesheimer,
Malone, Lamm, City Attorney Miller, and Special
Attorney John F. Bender and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilmen: Nasser and Jumper.
Special Attorney John F. Bender, asked for oral
bids upon each of the parcels of property listed
in "Notice No. Four of Intention to sell City of
Azusa owned Real Property at Public Auction,
Sale, Date November 6, 1946, and the following
described offers for City ovined property were
duly and regularly accepted pursuant to reso-
lution number:2049 hereafter shown.

PROPERTY
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF AZUSA,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BID, QUITCLAIM DEED ONLY
TO CITY OWNED REAL PROPERTY.
THAT WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is desirous of selling certain
parcels of real property heretofore acquired by the City by virtue
of tax deeds, in order that the said properties be restored to the
tax rolls, and
WHEREAS, the City's notice of intention to sell said properties,
designated as "Notice No. Four of Intention to Sell City of Azusa
Owned Real Property and Inviting Bids or Offers Therefor.'-', has
heretofore been duly published, and
WHEREAS; the following named persons or companies bid orally,
pursuant to said published notice of intention to purchase, by quit-
claim deed and on a cash basis, the real property hereinafter de-
scribed,
Ira R. Calvert, Thomas P. McLaughlin, Austin J. Abdelnour,
George M. Rodecker and Earl G. Corkett, Joanne Cummings,
John Luna Jr., R. De La Mare, and Southern Finance Service
Company
AND WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that it would
be to the best interest of the City of Azusa to accept said bids,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the offer of the above named persons or companies
to purchase from City of Azusa, upon the terms and conditions as above
set forth, that certain real property situated within the City and
described as follows:

Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
instructed to execute, attest, seal and deliver to said purchaser a
quitclaim deed of said parcels of real property.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, this 6th day of November, 1946.

Absent: Councilmen: Nasser and Jumper.
Councilman Malone offered an Ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
TO VALIDATE CERTAIN ACTS OF OFFICERS OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA RELATING TO TAXATION OF PROPERTY, ASSESS-
MENT OF PROPERTY, EQUALIZATION OF PROPERTY, LEVY
OF TAXES, TAX SALES, CERTIFICILTE OF TAX SALES,
TAX DEEDS, AND TERMINATION OF RIGHT OF REDEMPTION
FROM TAX SALES OR TAX DEEDS.
be placed upon its first reading.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council-
man Memmesheimer, Council waive the further
reading of this ordinance.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Memmesheimer, Malone, Lamm.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Nasser and Jumper.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Malone, Council accept for payment the
bill of $41.2.6 presented to the City for damages
to Earl Jones car when it became partly submerged
in water on First Street where the Little Dalton
Wash intersects the street.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Memmesheimer, Malone, Lamm.
Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen: Nasser and Jumper.
Moved by Councilman Malone, seconded by Council-
man Memmesheimer and duly carried, Council adjourn
to meet again on November 123, 1946, at 7:00 o'clock
P.M.
