The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular adjourned session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm, City Attorney Tscharner and City Clerk. Absent: Councilman Malone. Mayor Lamm addressed the group present, who ' represented the property owners on Foothill Boulevard from Soldano Avenue to the East City Limits. The Hearing was called to consider Mr. Pon's application for a re -zoning of both the north and south side of Foothill Boulevard from Soldano Avenue to the East City Limits. Mr. Cook, Mr. Griffith, Mr. Hayden, Mr. Shelton, Mr. Pon and others addressed Council relative to this matter. No further action was taken in this matter at this meeting. ROLL CALL HEARING ON RE- ZONING OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD FROM SOLDANO AVENUE TO EAST CITY LIMITS Councilman Memmesheimer offered the following Resolution: RESOLVED, that a copy of that certain Notice entitled "Notice No. Six of Intention to Sell City of Azusa Owned Real Property and Inviting Bids or Offers Therefor.", dated the 14th day of July, 1947, be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City for the purpose of identification and reference; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby approve ' said form of notice and does hereby invite bids or offers for the real properties therein described, as therein contemplated; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby elects to sell said properties as described in said notice by private sale and on the terms and conditions as set forth in said notice; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized to instruct to cause said notice to be pub- lished in the official newspaper of said City, to -wit: Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, in the time, form and manner required by law; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said "Notice No. Six of Intention to Sell City of Azusa Owned Real Property and Inviting Bids or Offers Therefor.", which is on file as aforementioned and open to public inspection is hereby referred to and by this reference expressly incorporated herein and made a part hereof. Moved by Councilman Nasser, seconded by Councilman Jumper this resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 2098. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Malone. Councilman Jumper offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND THE CITRUS UNION HIGH SCHOOL RELATIVE TO THE USE OF THE HIGH SCHOOL BUS. Moved by Councilman Nasser, seconded by Council- man Memmesheimer this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 2100. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Malone. Mr. J. 0. Durrell requested a zone variance from a C-2 to M-1 on his property described as Lots ' 6 and 71 Block 299 City of Azusa. The Planning Commission recommended that this variance be granted. Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by Councilman Jumper that Council approve the action of the Planning Commission and a variance be granted to J. 0. Durrell and not to the property, the variance to revert to a C-2 zone in case of change of ownership or the establishment of a business other than the sewing factory. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: -Councilman Malone.
