The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Nasser,
Memmesheimer, Lamm, City Attorney Tscharner ROLL CALL.
and City Clerk.
Absent: Councilmen: Jumper and Malone.
Each member present acknowledged receipt of a
written copy of the minutes of the regular
meeting of July 7 and the adjourned session of MINUTES APPROVED
' July 14, 1947. The Mayor asked if there were
any objections or corrections to said minutes.
There being none, the minutes of July 7 and
July 14, 1947 were approved as written.

The Mayor assured Mr. Moyer and others interested
in this matter, that the Council would take this
matter up with the Aerojet Company.
Mr. Lynden Barber presented a petition, with
five names attached thereto, requesting permission
to complete the structure on the rear of his
property described as Lot 38, Tract 8161.
He explained to Council that he did not have a
building permit to erect the building and that
the Building Inspector had stopped construction.
The written petition was handed to Mr. Barber with
instructions to file a petition for a gone variance
in view of the fact the structure is within one
foot of the property line.
At this point Councilman Jumper entered the meeting
and took his seat at the Council table.
Mr. A. M. Rulofson submitted his bid for the City,
Audit.
Councilman Tdemmesheimer offered a Resolution
entitled:

Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Nasser this resolution be adopted as read
and numbered Resolution No. 2101.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer,
Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman 11alone.

presented a letter to Council stating that the MANAGER OF J. C.
Los Angeles County Welfare Department refused PENNEY STORE
to pay the City of Azusa Sales Tax on mercran- REQUESTED INFORMA-

Moved and carried this matter be referred to
the City Attorney.

was discussed and tabled until the next regular
meeting.
Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by WALTER MALONE
Councilman Jumper, Council grant Councilman GRANTED LEAVE OF

Councilman Jumper offered a Resolution entitled;

Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Jumper this resolution be adopted
as read and numbered Resolution No. 2104.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer,
Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Malone.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Nasser the following requisitions be
allowed: 2467-2472, 783-788 LW. REQUISITIONS
Carried by the following vote of the Council:

Lamm. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Malone.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Nasser the following bills be.allowed and
warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for BILLS
the same.
