The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Councilmen: Nasser,
Jumper, Memmesheimer, Dickerson, Malone, City
Attorney Tscharner, Special City Attorney John
F. Bender and City Clerk. ROLL CALL
Absent: None.
The Clerk announced that three Bids had been
received in answer to Notice Inviting Bids on
a motor street sweeper.
' Moved by Councilman Memmesheimer, seconded by
Councilman Jumper the Bids be now opened, BIDS ON MOTOR
examined and publicly declared. SWEEPER

The Clerk announced that one bid had been
received under Notice No. 9 of the City of
Azusa Intention to sell City owned Real
Property located in Tract 8507, City of Azusa.
Moved by Councilman Nasser, seconded by Coun-
cilman Memmesheimer that all bids be now
opened and publicly declared. ONE BID IN ANSWER
Carried by the following vote of the Council: TO NO`iICE NO. 9
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer,
Dickerson, Malone. Noes: None. Absent: None.
The Undersigned offers the sum of EightywOne Thousand ($B1,000.00)
Dollars cash for said property, payable Thirty -One Thousand
($31,000.00) Dollars herewith and the balance within thirty (30)
days after acceptance of this bid. Conveyance of said property
by the City of Azusa is to be made to AZUSA ROCK & SAND COMPANY,

Roy C. Arnold addressed Council protesting the

County gasoline tax apportionment, was read and
ordered placed on file.
A request to discontinue the blowing of the
curfew at 10:00 o'clock, P.M. was read and
ordered placed on file.
An application to the State Board of Equali-
zation for Off -Sale General Liquor License for
Revitz, Joseph & Irving, was read and ordered
placed on file.
Notice of League of California Cities dinner
meeting was read and ordered placed on file.
' A communication from the Azusa Chamber of
Commerce requesting a donation be made to the
Art Department of Citrus Union High School,
was read.
Moved by Councilman Jumper, seconded by Council-
man Memmesheimer the Clerk be authorized and
instructed to draw a demand on the General Fund
in the amount of $27.50, made payable to the
Azusa Chamber of Commerce and charge to Pro-
motion and Advertising Fund.

The Proposal for the Construction of a 20"

the drilling of a well.

' No further action was taken by Council pending
the filing of an easement for the purpose of
carrying off storm water.

across the property owned by Alonza Peake, for
pipe line purposes.

Dir. Ernest R. Geddes, State Senator, being
present addressed Council offering his coopera-
tion and assuring Council that when called upon,
their problems would be given his personal
attention.
' Mr. Phillip L. Greig addressed Council relative
to the proposed subdivision located at the
Southeast corner of First Street and Azusa
Avenue, requesting Council to accept an ease-
ment for the installation of power lines and
water mains.
The City Attorney, who was instructed at a
previous meeting of Council,to contact the
Realty Board of the State of California relative
to a violation of the California Real Estate
Law in connection with this proposed subdivi-
sion, read a letter signed by Hubert B. Scudder,
Commissioner of the State of California,
Division of Real Estate, in which he advised the
City Attorney that the evidence presented at this
time is insufficient to constitute a violation.

enclosing Sam's Auto Parts & Wrecking Lot. WRECKING YARD
